HOWARD PLAYERS ARE IN FINE FORM Crimson Eleven Plays as One Man YALE MAKES GOOD START In Game Marked By Brilliant Plays Princeton Defeats Georgetown. Other Results on the Gridlron. YALE MAKES GOOD START Cambridge, Mass. October L--Harvard defeated Williams in the first football game of the season today by the score of 24 to 0. During the whole game the Crimson players worked as single man, following the ball very closely. The Harvard men directed their strength al- most entirely against their opponents line, and they were able to break through almost at will Only once was Harvard held for downs, and that was after the team was large ly made up of substitutes. Brill, the former Exeter t-ckle, now a Harvard freshman, was given a trial at left tackle where he opened up great holes in the Williams line The work of Mills al full back was noteworthy. He repeatedly ploughed his way through for gains oi five and ten yards.
