The money

The 68 Ventures Bowl was put on by Mobile Alabama Bowl, Inc., a nonprofit. Its IRS Form 990 for the year to April 2024, which takes in this game, reports $1.6 million in revenue, $981,000 of it from sponsorship income, and $1.7 million in expenses. Its best-paid, executive director Sherrie Dyal, was paid $85,000.

From the organization’s IRS Form 990, via ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer and the IRS’s e-file data. Payments are the grants it lists on Schedule I of that return. See every filing at ProPublica (EIN 63-1222642).
