  DELAWARE COLLEGE DEFEATED swarthmore Did Not Allow Locals to Score on Saturday. Score on Saturday. Delaware College football team received it’s FIRST defeat OF the season on Saturday when Swarthmorc won the contest at the latter place by a score OF u Ito o. The day and field were as bad as could be conceived and on account of injuries 10 several OF the Delaware players tho team feels well satisfied with the stand it made. Captain Ferguson. of Delaware demanded halfs OF 20 and 10 minutes. Cap tain Smith offered 70 play 20 and 2O-miniie halves. but Ferguson would not concede and ordered the team on the field. They returned soon after and an agree men; was made on two 2o-minute halves. Bower and McDonough soon brought tho BAN TO Derhware’s 5-yard line. Their limo held firm. but Captain Smith made a through right tackle for n touchdown. Crowei kicked a pretty goal. In the second half by series OF strong line plunges by McDonough.
