GE0RGIA’S DEFEAT. Score Did Not Indicate the Fierce ness of the Game With Clemson. SNOEC O1u MOI AnuhCAtC hAAC ness of the Game With Clemson. The followers of football in Savannah were yesterday morning surprised to read of the high score which Glenn son piled up against the Georgia team in the game played at Clemson Saturday-36 to 0. The Georgia team, on which, by the way, there are several Savannahians, had played such. good, hard, straight football that it was thought they stood an even chance with the South Carolinians, and the score wak consequently surprise. The truth of the matter is that the score was one-sided. but the game was not. There never was minute when Georgia wasn’t in ii. Both teams did remarkable playing of an entirely diff ferent style. The South Carolina pa pers are authority for the statement that no grittier players than Georgia. ever graced a gridiron. The cause OF Seorgias defeat was the removal from the game. because Of disablements. OF
