California Loses 9th To Washington, 35–27 BERKELEY, Calf, Nov. Is R.-Quarterback Bobby Dunn generated Washington’s hard running backs to a 1927 VIC tory over California today for the Bears eighth loss of the season-the most since football started here in 1882. Still the Bears kept the crowd of $4,000 in doubt most of the afternoon. They turned three fumbles into touchdowns and staged the longest scoring play of the day, an 80-yard pass-run from Quarterback Joe Kapp to Halfback Hank Olguin. California scored more than it had in any game this season. but not enough to overcome Dunn and crew of charging backs, including Don Millich, Mike McCluskey. Jimmy Jones and Dick Peyseno. The Bears got off to a TO lead on a 4-yard run by Kapp. but Washington surged back for three touchdowns in the second period and never again was headed. Dunn scored the Huskies’ first touchdown on a one-yard
