Two Funb|es Help Colorado Tie Missouri COLUMBIA. Mo-, Nov. 10 (E). Colorado turned two Missouri fumbleS into touchdowns today on passes from Boyd Dowler to Frank Clarke and came of with Ia l4–14 tie that virtually clinched an Orange Bowl trip for the Bluffs as a Big Seven substitute for Oklahoma. Missouri still has a chance to make the trip, but would have to upset Oklahoma--the Ma tons No. team, which is bar red from a repeat performance in the Miami New Years Day classic. Playing in crisp weather before Is. 900 fans, Missouri stunned the Coloradoans with touchdowns in the second and third quarters. The Tiger forwards had stopped Colorado and appeared to have the Buffaloes on the run. Then came the fumbles. Colorado recovered a Missouri bobble on the Tiger SO in the third period. Seven plays later Quarterback Dowler tossed the first of his touchdown passes to Clarke. 1t was a 19-yarder from la buck lateral. Colorado got another opporitunity early in the fourth when the Tigers again muffed the ball ion their SO. Dowler pitched 10 yards to Clarke for the second Colorado score. Ellwin Indorf kicked both Coli orado conversions. Twice rebuffed deep in Colo RADIO territory. Missouri opened the scoring with a 53-yard drive in the first quarter. Fullback Joe Wynn plunged the last yard. Charlie Rash converted and the score stood TO at the half. The Tigers moved So yards in 10 plays for their second touch down, with Hank Kuhlmann hammering the last 2. Rash again converted. Colorado, which only a week ago held mighty Oklahoma. 1T 10, got a scare in the closing minutes when Missouri threat ened to the 10-yard line before stalling A 52-yard run by Wynn on a screen pass provided the spark in that threat.
