Colgate Batters Rutgers, 48–6 NEW BRUNSWICK, N. j., Oct. Is tP1.-John Call, Colgate half back who played only four min utes more than one quarter scored four touchdowns today as the Red Raiders crushed Rutgers, 1876. The only solace the home team gained was that it kept intact its scoring string that now runs through SO games, Rutgers didn’t get its touch down until one second before the finish. The Scarlet had scored in every game since it was whitewashed by Lafayette in the middle of the 1914 season. With many Of the spectators on their way to the exits, Sophomore Jay Hunton caught a short pass from Bill Gatyas on his own 35 and raced SO yards to Colgate’S 6. Here he was caught from behind by Joe Vitok. With the clock showing only one sec ond left. Hunton took a hand of from Gatyas and raced around left end to score. Three of Calls four touch downs came within a 13-minute scoring spree in the opening quarter. Colgate .----------2 81 IL : is
