The money
The Outback Bowl was put on by the Tampa Bay Bowl Association, a nonprofit. Its IRS Form 990 for the year to January 2013, which takes in this game, reports $11.0 million in revenue and $10.9 million in expenses.
From the organization’s IRS Form 990, via ProPublica Nonprofit Explorer and the IRS’s e-file data. Payments are the grants it lists on Schedule I of that return. See every filing at ProPublica (EIN 59-2643123).
