Lineman Wins Game As Florida Defeats Mississippi State GAINESVILLE, Fla. Oct. 80. Buster Hill, a sophomore tackle. grabbed a teammates S tumble in the end zone for a touchdown and a TO Florida victory over Mississippi State today that kept Florida in the run ming for the Southeastern Conference football title. Florida’s Gators have won four conference games-the first season they ever have done so well-and lost one. The scoring tumble started with a wide sweep by Halfback Jackie Simpson from the Mississippi State 9 just before half time. Simpson dropped the ball just as he was about to cross the goal, and Hill-who was down to help block-was in position to snuggle it in his arms. Ed Bass kicked the conversion, and that was all the scoring, but the Gators had to make two goal line stands inside their 10 in the late minutes to keep Mississippi State from making the same kind OF comeback it did in upsetting Alabama a week ago.
