  Missouri Trounces Kansas State, 35–⁠7 MANHATTAN. Kans.. Oct. q The Missouri Tigers, reboundlng from a shellacking by Purdue last week, mauled Kansas State, 35–⁠7, in a Big Seven Conference opener before 81, 500 fans today. The Tigers, who were humbled by Purdue, $40, struck sharply for a 21–⁠0 halftime lead, yielded a touchdown to Kansas State in the third quarter and then scored twice in the last period to make it a rout. Halfback Jack Fox scored the first two touchdoWnS-orie on a one-yard slice off tackle early in the game and the other on a pass from Vic Eaton in the second period. Fox kicked both extra points and for all practical purposes the game was over. A pass interception set up the first score.
