  Hungry Texas Tech Bowls Houston HOUSTON, Nov. 21.-Three Sugar Bowl scouts watched today as Texas Techs Red Raiders struck with t1rst-half efficiency to win their ninth victory of the season by defeating the Uni versity of Houston, 41–⁠21. The West Texans grabbed two f1rst-quarter touchdownS before the Cougars could run more than two plays. They continued to 27–⁠7 half time advantage but had to roar back for two fnal-period scores after Houston. aided by two par TALLY blocked punts, pulled to within six points at 21–⁠27. The victory gave Tech a 9–⁠1 season record, with the Raiders ending their regular schedule next Saturday at Lubbock against Hardin-Simmons. Their lone defeat was to”Texas AS5M.
