Auburn Defeats Miami u. To Keep Bowl Hopes Alive MIAMI, Nov. 7 (P).-Auburn kept its hopes for a bowl bid alive with a last-quarter surge that defeated Miami, 1920, last night. Miami’s young and inconsistent team, generally considered to be a good fourth-quarter eleven, fought Auburn to a 1913 tie for three periods and seemed en- route to a possible upset. But Auburn’s system of using two teams for seven or eight minutes each paid off against a tiring Miami. The Tigers, originally three-touchdoWn favorites, score three touchdown favorites, scored two touchdowns and field goal in the early part of the last quarter to wrap up the game. Bobby Duke scored three of the Tigers touchdowns with runs of IA yards in the first Pc riod, 46 yards in the third and three yards in the fourth.
