TO- Mississippi. spanked by the run ming of Halfback Earl Blair and the defensive line play of Crawford Minis, rolled to a decisive 28–6 victory over Vanderbilt today. Blair. a 5-foot-10 sophomore, brought a homecoming crowd of 10000 to it’s feet as he snagged passes and ran for two touch downs in the second period. Minis, a 20G-pound guard, shared the limelight with two blocked kicks, one of which Sophomore end Bob Adams fell on for touchdown as it rolled into the end zone. Vanderbilt, vulnerable thus far to an aerial attack, watched as Quarterback Lea PaSlay hurled pass after pass to move steadily down the field. However, both squads intercepted several passes in a game marred by fumbleS and penalties. The Rebels scored twice in the first period on Harol Lotions 11-yard run and Minis blocked kick. Ray James Tackled Charlie Horton in the end zone to score a safety for Ole Miss in the third period. Vandy’s score came in the second quarter on a 62-yard end sweep by Halfback Bill Krietemeyer.
