Texas Aggies Score In Closing Minutes 10 Top Georgia, 14–12 DALLAS, Oct. 3.-The Texas Aggies scored with less than 2 minutes to go to beat Georgia 14–12 tonight in a penalty-ridden, break-filled intersectional football game. All scoring was jammed into the last half before a slender crowd of 22,342 in the Cotton Bowl. .-.. Sophomore Ellwood Kettler’S toe was the difference as the Aggle back booted two extra points while Sam Mrvos and Joe Graft each missed for Georgia. Zeke Bratkowski, heralded Georgia passer, was good but it was a pass by Don Ellis, the Aggle quarterback, that told the story. ...-. ... But things started popping in the third period. Georgia cashed in on an Aggie tumble to drive 48 yards for touchdown which Bob Clemens made on a 3-yard blast at right guard. Mrvos’ conversion try was low. The Aggies promptly got a touchdown of their own, surging 49 yards in which the running of Billy Huddleston stood out. The score was made on a 21a-yard plunge over tackle by Ellis. Kettier kicked the extra point to put A & M ahead. 1t wasn’t long, however, before Georgia had another touchdown. Bobby Garrard ran a punt back from the Georgia II to the Aggie z. Charlie Madison made it with a 1-yard climb over tackle. Then Howard Kelly fumbled and Ray Barrett recovered for A & M on the Georgia %. From the is, Ellis passed to Salyer in the end zone and Kettler again converted. fsSasla fsSss 4 & &m-S M - 9 3 sE1199 .nS Georgia scoring: Touchdowns-clem- Texas A L.
