This il the first score that has been made against Kennett SQUARE for two years and the Brandywine boys deserve much credit for their victory. The Brandy wine team played fast, snapEy game and would have made another score but for an unfortuenate tumble when they had the ball ON their opponents 2-yard line. Mcclure, aided by beautiful interference. made several long runs for Brandywine, one of 80 yards, resulting in touchdown. Lewis kicking gas good, making several nice punts. NM house did the best work for Kenneth Square. The greatest general interest on Saturday was centred in the Yale Princeton game at New Eaven, Conn, which was won by Yale by the score of IL to 0. Aside from the general excellence of the Yale team, the feature of the play was TO be found in the entire absenue OF unfair tactics. Through the game, lasting nearly two hours, including the intermlssion and the time taken out by delays resulting from injuries, but two penalties were imposed, the rival teams being equally guilty. There was nothing spectacular in the contest. The game was won by Yale as a result of the kind of old fashioned football, rendered effective by entire consistency in team play, and physical condition which enabled the sons OF Eli to last through gruelling contest Princeton, on the other hand, displayed tendency to 60 to pieces at times, an through out the game her men required frequent nursing. Yale played straight through the 10 minutes Of actual time with a single change, when Capt. Kunzig of the Varsity boat crew took the place Of Goss at left tackle. Princeton found it necessary to call upon seven substi. tutes, and the Introduction of this half dozen of fresh men enabled her to make n superb finish of contest which had been altogether up hill. Yale’s goal line was never endangered. Indeed, the Players from Old Nassau never reached a point nearer Yale’s goal than the 30 yard line. Yale scored two touchdowns, one in each half, and each of these sores was converted cleverly into goals by Olcott. Wbile the game was in progress one of the Yale durmitoly buildings was burned, causing 10 of Sl00,UUu.
