The blue-clad Californiafs turned Washington’s vaunted passing attack into a boomerang intercepting five tosses by Quarter back Don Heinrich who hadn’t lost a toss by interceptioh previously this season. Three Of the interruptions either scored or set up touchdowns. The Bruins romped to one of their five scores on straight ground power and took the aerial route to another, showing Wash ington’s Huskies and the home town crowd of $4,000 everything but mercy. Not until the final quarter could the locals get their sputtering machine hitting on all cylinders. Heinrich mixed his plays n1asterfully to pilot the Huskies 80 yards In II downs to avoid a whitewash. Terry DELAY. 170-pound sophomore linebacker. spearheaded the UCLA defense that piled up every other Washington threat.
