Lightning thrusts at the start of each half carried the University of Louisville Cardinals to a l4–7 football victory over Washington and Lee here today. ! Quarterback Johnny Unitas, key man in comeback that has car ried Louisville to three straight upset victories after a dismal start, connected with Babe Ray on the first pass he tried in the opening minutes and got the Cardinals OF to a TO lead. | Then. on the kickoff opening the second half, Fullback Jim Williams got behind his blockers for a spectacular 96-yard touch down run. / That one proved to be the de- Gliding marker as Louisvilles de- tenders held the scrambling Gen. erals on all except one occasion. Washington and Lee marched 70 yards late in the third quarter and early in the fourth to make its lone trip to touchdown town. Randy Broyles went over from the 10.
