Dillon Snares Punt In Last Quarter and FIees Down SideIine WACO, Tex, Nov. 11.-Slender Bobby Dillon raced 81 yards behind magnificent blocking late in the fourth quarter today as the University of Texas kicked Bay lor out of the Southwest Confer ence title chase, 27–20. Until he shared Larry ISbell’S punt on his own 16-yard line, took a choice of a wave of mas sive blockers and fled down the sidelines it was anybody’s ball game. But this broke the 1920 dead lock and shattered the spirit that had brought Baylor from behind a stunning disadvantage in the first few minutes of play. A tumble on the opening kick off by Baylor’s feet Buddy Par ker set the stage for a quick Texas tally. The Longhorns shot ahead again in the second period after Baylor had tied the score. added one more touchdown in the third and then Dillon put over the clincher. Townsend scored the first Texas touchdown from the one yard line but Parker matched his effort less than four minutes later. Then the bruising Texas line paid dividends, though Ben Tornpkins passed to Tom Stolhandske for four yards for the second Longhorn touchdown. The third came on Tompkins’ two-yard quarterback sneak. Parker shared a 14-yard Isbell pass for Baylor’s second touch down in the third period and hit Harold Riley with a 28-yard pass for the third Bear score in the fourth. A crowd of $4,000 sat in So degree weather and watched Texas roll to its sixth victory against one defeat this season and retain its perfect record in conference play.
