  Penalty Saves Miami lin Tie With Louisville MIAMI, Fla, Nov. 11.-Miami remained among the undefeated football teams in the Nation today by tying stubborn Louisville, 1913, last night, but it took technical penalty to save the Hurricanes unblemished record. Louisville scored with a minute snd Is seconds remaining in the final quarter. Dave Rivenbark’s first conversion attempt was sue cessful – the conversion which would have given Louisville a 14–⁠13 triumph over the ninth ranking team in the Nation. Headlinesman Jim Armistead of Vanderbilt called a foul because Louisville had only six men in the line of scrimmage in violation of the rule which reads: when the ball is snapped the offensive team must be in a formation of seven or more players on the | scrimmage line. :” Louisville drew a 5-yard penalty Rivenbark tried again, this time kicking from the 20-yard line and the ball struck goal post. | Despite the ruling, it was a moral victory for the Kentuckians who were four-touchdown under dogs against the team that dumped Purdue the week after the Boilermakers’ spectacular de- / feat of Notre Dame.
