  FumbIes by Arkansas Give Vanderbilt Win LITTLE ROCK, Ark, Oct. 28.- Vanderbilt fashioned a tWo-touchdown lead on Arkansas fumbles, and then held on grimly to nip the Razorbacks. 14–⁠13, in a nerve wracking football game today. With its vaunted aerial attack bottled up almost completely, VAN derbilt showed little defense in the first half. But Ted Kirkland pounced on the ball on the Arkansas 13 when Bob Cross of Arkansas fumbled 75-yard quick kick. Davidson went through the middle for a touchdown. In the third period, Tommy Britt of Arkansas dropped a punt on the Vandy As and Captain Russ Faulkinberry of Vanderbilt grabbed the ball. Bill Wade. the Nations passing yardage leader going into this game, lofted long one to Bucky Curtis in the end zone. Gordon McCarter converted a second time for the ultimate winning margin. Then Arkansas junked it’s T at tack and started operating for the first time this year from widely-spread single wingback for nation. They marched 68 yards for a touchdown. Jim Rinehart scored from the IL. In the fourth quarter, Rinehart faded from the Vanderbilt 81 and hit Buddy Rogers with a touch down pass on the 18.
