The Game. Des Moires, Oct. 1.-THE Drake-Grinnell football game Saturday night re-. suited in a score of 6 to 5 in favor of Grinnell. The score for both sides was made in the first half. Grinnells score was made by touchdown, while Drake scored on a drop kick by Clark. Drake has herself to blame for the defeat. Dur ing the last half she had the ball on Grinnell’s eighty-yard line three times. and in exactly the same identical spot each time, and in each instance Grim rell held Drake for three downs. AND this was comparatively easy to do as Drake resorted to line smashing exclusively, and forsook either the end runs or tackle plays with which she had been making good gains. Neither side played snappy ball, and the game was somewhat disappointing to the audience in that the individual players could not be ascertained during the progress OF the different plays.
