  Gophers Sweep .Huskers, 61–⁠7 LINCOLN. Neb., Oct. 6 CUP) An array Of powerful and alert Minnesota backs and ends pa raded almost at will across the Nebraska goal line today and scored a 61–⁠7 victory in a Big Ten-Big Six intersectional football game. Minnesota’s powerhouse, operating at full steam under the tutelage of Coach Bernie Bierman, scored nine touchdowns to adr7,a1ftsr .asn 4 tbs sso-se ip,ii-cs &C. ever given a Nebraska team. Minnesota suffered a short-lived manpower shortage when big Vic Kulbitski was injured on the third play after the kickoff: Kulbitski. starting on his own 26, tore through the line for % yard. On the next play he plunged his 200 pounds through tackle for II yards and an injured arm which sent him to the dressing room not to return. Kulbitski’S sub, Hudson Mealey. carried on adequately. He scored the first touchdown by dashing s yards through the Nebraska line. He scored two more before the game was over, and kicked two extra points for good measure.
