  LARGE CROWD SEES USC WIN BOWL BID LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27 - The biggest football crowd of the year, 77,903, saw Southern California smother UCLA under 40 to 13 score and become the western nominee for the Rose Bowl against either Ohio State or Tennessee.
