STAGG’5 PACIFIC COLLEGE ELEVEN BEATEN BY 50. {. LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2 = South ern California used superior man. power and capitalized on the breaks in beating Amos Alonzo Stagg’s College of the Pacific by 18–6 last Saturday. The Trojans had the power and reserve strength to outlast the re- sourceful Stockton, Calif., Tigers. The Trojans really opened up with a passing attack and two of their touchdowns came via the air lanes. The other was fashioned by fleet footed Gordon Gray, reformed end, who scooted 61 yards off left tackle in the fourth quarter.
