SURPRISES AND Up5ET5 ON GRiDIR0N If a centipede had crawled across a map of the United States on Saturday everyone of its hundred legs would have touched a point where a football surprise took place and upsets were as numerous as ants at Firemen’s picnic. North Carolina Pre-flight stunned the Navy, 21–14. Pennsylvania, scoring in the first IS seconds, spilled Duke, 18–7. Wisconsin tripped Northwestern, 7–6.
