Southwestern University And Tulsa Tie Up, 6–6 TULSA, Okla, Oct. 30.-tR-Tulsa’s hopes for a second straight all-victorious season were shattered today by the powerful Marines of Southwestern University, who battled the Golden Hurricane to a 6–6 deadlock before 10000 fans in Sicily stadium. Southwestern showed up with its full crew of former college stars and after yielding q first period touchdown, stormed back to tie the score in the third with vicious running attack, R. L. Cooper scoring from the courtyard line. The Hurricane forged into the lead with 51-yard aerial march, Clyde Leforce hitting Barney White with the payoff throw from the vineyard line. But Leforce, who had connected with 10 out of % placement kicks for extr2 points in Tulsa’s four ‘,arlier games, missed this all-important boot.
