  Purdue Rolls To 4O-2l Victory Over Illinois LAFAYETTE, Ind, Oct. 2. Up = Mike Jacobs himself couldn’ have conceived a better show for the cash customers-than the football teams of Purdue and Hi nois put on here today before lo,00C fans. Actually it was some of the worst football imaginable but there never was a dull moment as Purdue roll ed to 40 to 81 triumph in a game that included 20 fumbles, a couple of blocked kicks, intercept ed passes and 10 and 30 yard touchdown runs. And to add tc the confusion, the officials stepped off 143 yards in penalties.
