Human Stukd’ Sinks Navy as Irish Win,,2O-13 BertelIi’s Passing Offsets Middies’ Power Thrusts BALTIMORE, Nov. 8.-Rising brilliantly from the dependency of its muddy tie with Army, Notre Dame remained among the ma TONS great unbeaten teams today by turning back the desperate challenge of Navy, 20 TO 13. The Irish toppled the hitherto unbeaten Midshipmen with a fourth period touchdown that was born of the mighty passing arm of lanky Angelo Bertelli. a sophomore from Springfield. Mass. The incredible youngster was responsible for all but few OF the 232 yards the Irish gained through the air and was the spearhead of each Irish drive. Against this human Stuka. the big Navy team threw the full brunt of their power and running attack. Twice they pierced the Irish armor, and went into the final chapter with a 1913 tie. After Notre Dame had taken the lead that was destined TO pre-. vail until the end, Navy counter. attacked sharply midway in the last quarter with a drive that failed overwhelmingly on Notre Danes 3-yard line.
