Duquesne Is Pressed In Triumph Over Waynesburg PITTSBURGH. Sept. 20. - A highly touted Duquesne University football eleven, which flashed only moments of the power and decepton expected of it, was hard put to win, IA to 2, today over a game but inexperienced Waynesburg College team. Waynesburg’s Yellow Jackets held the Dukes scoreless through the last half but were unable to get rolling themselves through the heavier Duke forward wall. The Dukes, who have suffered only one defeat and one tie in two years, got the Jump in the first half. Halfback Bernie Semes streaked 40 yards in the first quarter to open the scoring and Fullback Johnny Binotto plunged through the line in the second for three yards and six points. John Rokisky, end, kicked both placements. Waynesburg’s safety came in the first period after the Dukes Phil Ahwesh, halfback, fumbled and recovered the ball behind his goal.
