Georgia Tech Vanderbilt is the only other confer ence clash. Tulane encounters Rice, which walloped Louisiana State $50 last Saturday. while Florida and Sewanne play Southern Conference rivals, Maryland and Davidson. TwO-Team Southern Race. Southern Conference: The race already has been reduced to Clemson-Duke duel. but a good many others may get back in if | either is beaten. That won’t happen | this week. however. for Duke visits | Colgate while Clemson. after elm mating Wake Forest by a decisive $50, takes week of. North Carolina, previously beaten by Wake Forest, came back to down Texas Christian, ALA, and prove its right to a place among the leaders. The Tar Heels play North Carolina State Saturday. Southwest: Although the conference race Is wide open, Texas and Texas Aggies have turned in the best feats so far. The Aggies downed U. C. L. A., TO, last week and now face their first conference test against T. c. U. Texas sur prise team meets Arkansas while the others play intersectional games Texas Tech. perhaps the best of the independent South western teams, takes on Brigham Young Friday after a 32-l9 conquest of Montana. Big Seven Deadlocked. Big seven: Colorado walloped Utah State. $50, to get flying start in the conference race. Utah gained a $40 non conference victory over Arizona and Denver tripped up Colorado State, 14–⁠13, last week. Each has 10 standing in the cir cult and will try for their second victories this way Denver vs.. wyoming, Colorado VS.. Colorado State and Utah VS.. Utah State. Pacific Coast: Stanford, which conquered Santa Clara, To, for it’s third straight victory, and WASH ington State, 9–⁠6 winner over Cali fornia. meet in natural at Pull man. Wash, next Saturday. 1t may possibly be the seasons deciding game, but don’t count on it for Washington looked good in a 100 triumph over Oregon and Oregon State breezed to a $50 win over Portland.
