  YALE ONLY 6–⁠5 OVER VIRGINIA Il Yale, taking its 1940 baptism the Virginia Cavaliers, offered the feature attraction on Connecticut College gridirons Saturday. It will be the first meeting of the two elevens in 26 years and Yale was conceded only a slight edge over the southerners. Head coach Raymond w. (Ducky) Pond aE- nounced his starting team would in- clude Spence Moseley, a sophomore at the vital center post, and another sophomore, Jim Potts, would play in the backfield with Capt. Hal Whiteman, Hovey Seymour and Ray Anderson. Only a brief warmup drill was scheduled fo- today as the Virgin ians arrived for a practice session in the bowl. On the other Connecticut grid irons: University of Connecticut was pitt ted against Massachusetts State at Storrs. Trinity, with one of its backfield stars, Joe Beidler on the sidelines with back injury, takes on Uni versity of Vermont at Hartford. Wesleyan, swamped 41–⁠0 last week by a powerful Brown team, was slated to meet Bowdoin at Middle town, seeking to avenge defeats o1 the past three consecutive years.
