eyes scored an unexpected 40 triumph over Purdue’s Boiler makers on two fourth-quarter safeties, while Northwestern Wildcats were upsetting Mime sofa, 14–7, thanks to q 6l-yard touchdown run by young Bill De Correvont. Only Ohio State performed as expected in rolling over Indiana, $40. Meanwhile, in the neighboring Big Six Conference, Missouri, sparked by the great passer, Paul Christman, handed Nebraska’s Cornhuskers q 27–13 defeat that was almost as shocking rs Michigan’s setback. In other sections, however, there was little cause for surprise. Tennessee, Notre Dame, Okla homa, Cornell and Texas A. and M, among the elect, came through more or less dacihvely.
