  Heels Given Big Hand On Tulane Game Raleigh, Oct 24.-In last Saturdays football games involving Big Five team, Carolina got the biggest hand for its gallant rallys to tie Tulane; Wake Forest got the big gest score, the adding machine IL nally stalling at Sc against Western Maryland; Duke got a satisfying victory over Syracuse, 33 to 6; but, rather paradoxically North Carolima State, whipped 21–⁠6 by Detroit, got the biggest break Of the bunch. This came in a game completely disconnected with the Big Five, or even with the South-the Duquesne-Pittsburgh affray in which the Dukes upset BOWser’s boys 81 to 10. Another paradox about the thing is that States break comes from the fact that it will be playing these very Duquesne fellows, victors over the mighty oanthers. 1t is a break and a very lucky break in two respects. First, it will make defeat by ‘Duquesne much less bitter. To be beaten by top pier of the mighty is much nicer than being trampled by Just anoth- Ell football team. Then, secondly and Of much importance to the State Athletic Association, the Duquesne victory should be worth at least S. 600 cold hard cash to the Wolf packs business office If Pit had beaten Duquesne, at tendance at the game here Novem- Der II would quite possibly have failed to go above 5000 But it is obvious that thousands Of fans will come out to see the team which
