  OREGON STATE IS FORCED TO HIT 1T TO BEAT PORTLAND PORTLAND, Ore, Oct. 16.--Ore- gen State, bcasting one of the strongest football teams in the Pa cific Coast Conference, came from behind last Saturday afternoon in the final two minutes of play to beat the tiny University of Portland IA to 12, despite the Beaver drive. Starting on their own 35-yard line Oregon State pushed over Dethman for the winning point in the final seconds of the game and Younce kicked the extra point.
