Minnesota had Purdue whipped with five minutes to play, but Mike Byelene broke loose for IS yards and the Gophers had to be satisfied with a 1913 draw. Indiana stopped Wisconsin, 14–⁠0, Clee Maddox’s 80-yard run furnishing one touchdown. A fourth-quarter field goal by Bob Kemnitz gave Marquette an unexpected 17–⁠14 victory over Michigan State. Cornell had too much on the ball for Princeton and the Big Red scored a decisive 20–⁠7 triumph as Whit Baker raced IS and 80 yards, respectively, to touchdowns. Navy and Dart mouth played to a disappointing 90 draw before $4,000 in Baltimore, and Army had to execute a passing play good for 81 yards in the final quarter to hold Co. lumbia to a 6–⁠6 draw.
