Early Florida Score Is Enough 10 Beat Boston College BOSTON, Oct. 13.-A well-drilled University of Florida eleven which early capitalized on its only scoring opportunity of the game, sub sequently repulsed five threats of a ragged Boston College team to win TO holiday game here yesterday before 10000. All statistics were in favor of the losers, who chalked up 8 first downs to the Gators 2 and outrushed their guests, 248 to 1O4. But they couldn’t quite overcome Florida S first-period touchdown, which came as the result of 45-yard aerial advance with Bud Walton’s 25-yard pass to Sophomore Leo Cahill the scoring play. Florida started five sophomores against the Eagles One of them, End Forest Ferguson, just about ruined Charlie O’Rourke’s sup posedly dangerous passing by rush ing him fast and hard consistently. ORourke apparently had run to a touchdown in the first minute of play, but his score was disallowed because several B. C. men pushed and tugged at rivals as he raced into the Gators end zone. Florida plays Maryland here on October % in the Terps’ homecoming game.
