confident that everything will be all right tomorrow. There is speed, power and versa tility in the Army backfield. Here are few notes on the Cadets sup piled by a qualified observer who has seen the Army in action sew eral times: Charles J. (Huey) Long, first claSsman (senior) and NO. back in Cacch Bill Woods Wingback syStenn with the funny little shift Of one man, was the outstanding ball handler in the 19–7 victory. A southpaw passer, clever kicker and astute handler of plays, he is also a sur -fire safety who didn’t bother to fall on the loose ball, but snatched the slippery oval and legged toward Princeton’s goal. He set up one touchdown with a 20 yard pass to Sullivan, the other with a Shifty punt return Of like distance. WILSON A TRIPLE THREAT Long is the sort of back who. lacking a foot or two for first down, coolly calls a touchdown shot off tackle. He will turn quiz zically to scrutinize the time clock or scoreboard, and bang! The play shears through your guard as he stands idly taking. Woody Wilson, hard runner who can pass and punt. is the other triple threat and one of the fast est backs.
