Pitt Rated East’s Best Team NEW YORK, Oct. 4. CUP)-Although the football season is only two weeks old, the east is about ready to concede that Pittsburgh is its best team. The Panthers, with a varsity backfield of all-America caliber and a line equally as powerful, have struck twice, licking good West Virginia team 1910 and humbling Temple, 28–6. Next Saturday they encounter Duquesne, the team that upset them in 1886 and after that. Pittsburgh has a suicide Wisconsin, Southern Methodist, Fordham, Car negie Tech, Nebraska, Penn State and Duke in that order.
