Length Of Pass Disnufed SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA had to hold off last-quarter thrust to beat U. c. L. A., 1913 in the Pacific Coast Conference finale and thus nnlsh well ahead Of its Los Angeles rival. However. it was Washington S long pass to Hal Hirshon for the first U. c. L. A. touchdown that really thrilled the 10000 fans. 1t was variously estimated as travelling from 66 to 70 yards Either way they don’t come much longer although the record book lists one successful heaye OF 81 yards Otherwise the Pacific Coast took 1t on the chin in q pair Of intersectional games. Oregon, next to last in the conference, took 20–6 setback from Arizona in a game marked by long runs. The Webfoots made the best dash when Gerald GRAPHICAL went 80 yards for their score. Texas A.. and M. handed the University of San Francisco Dons one of their worst drubbings, AZ to g. Another major intersectional tilt saw Manhattan and Tulsa finish in a scoreless tie after Vic F’usia of the Jaspers fumbled just short of the goal line Hardin Simmons of Texas, which had gone through eight fairly tough games without a setback, was held to a TT tie by Howard Payne in its final game. Almost equally surprising was another TT draw between Centenary and little Louisiana Tech.
