RICHMOND HELD TO TIE Randolph Macon, With Light z Team, Scores SO Upset. RICHMOND, Va. September 2S.- A scrappy Randolph Macon foot ball team today pulled an upset by hold ing the Richmond Spiders to SIS tie. Cleverness and courage enabled the Jackets, outweighed 20 pounds to Q man, in achieving the deadlock. Randolph-Macon scored in the first period when Paliscak, on a fake reverse, tossed pass to Jimmy Bair, who crossed the Spiders goal line Richmond didn’t tie the score until the third quarter, when after an exchange OF punts Bobby Vaughn, left halfback, took the ball on his own 35-yard line and raced IS yards down the sidelines and across the visitors goal for Richmond’s only score. Richmond drove to the Jackets l. yard line and again to the l9-yard marker in the last period, but In each case sturdy opposing line pushed the Spiders back Richmond made 10 first downs, Z more than Randolph Macon.
