Newman Runs True Harry Newman, who will be picked by many of the sharp shooters for All-America quarterback, single-handedly gave Michigan its S-to-o victory over Minnesota when he toed the ball over the bar and between, the uprights for a field goal. Put him on the honor role! George Fenton, Fordham tackle, is a Saturdays angel chile. The Rams were tied with the Oregon State eleven at 6 to 6. when Fenton blocked a kick by Keith Davis. Franklin recovered and was tackled behind the line by Fenton for a safety. and the two points which gave the Rams a 6–8 win. Bernie MasterSon, Nebraska quarterback, kicked, a field goal from Oklahoma’s 14-yard mark which gave the Nebraskans the Big Six title, and that should be enough to make him a rSatur’ days chile, if he never plays an other game as long as he lives. Capt. Jimmy Hitchcock, Auburns dazzling left half, playing the full so minutes. was the big shot in the defeat of Georgia, IA to Z, although Buster Mott looked awfully good for the losers, what with his splendid defensive play and his frequent long gains. Phipps, too, starred for Auburn, otherwise known ;Is Alabama Poly. it being his touchdown in the fourth quarter which put the Plainsmen ahead to stay. All are Saturdays chillun!
