PrIncetOn, PennsylvanIaa and Dartmouth the Foot Ball winners. The foot ball season of the country practically ended Saturday with three important championship games. Princeton won at New York over Yale, “a to 9. Yale scored first on a blocked kick, but after that the Yale line could not stop the ter rife onslaughts of the orange and black. Yale was greatly handicapped owing TO injuries which compelled the retirement of three of her best players-Capt. Murphy, tackle, and Hine and Benjamin, half backs, Baird, the Princeton full back, who has been heralded as the greatest kicker in the country, was hardly equal in this respect to Hinkey of Yale. Rodgers and Chad wick of Yale distinguished themselves, and Bass made the only touchdown for the blue, but the Princeton team as a whole outclassed Yale. The most sensational play came when Baird caught the ball on the 25 yard line. He was tackled, but passed the ball to Smith, the Prince ton quarter back, who ran 70 yards before he was downed. Harvard clos d a disastrous season by playing her best game of the year, although it resulted in her defeat by Pennsylvania at Philadelphia to 6. Harvard led in the first half 6 to and seemed a sure winner, hut Pennsylvania had the greater endurance and scored a touchdown and goal and Harvard was compelled to give two points more on a safety. Dartmouth won the championship OF the triangular league for the fourth consecutive time by defeating Williams at Han over 10 to 0. The game was played in three inches of snow, which gave Williams an advantage, her team being the heavier. | The Dartmouth backs again showed that they are equal to any in the country, and Kelly at end and Putnam, the big fresh man tackle who is one of the finds of the year, were much in evidence. Amherst takes second place in the championship, | Williams being last.
