RICE DOWNS BAYLOR 2o-1o Victcry Captures Fourth Place in Conference. HOUSTON, Tex, November % (P.- Rice Institute closed its foot ball season by defeating Baylor Institute here today, 20–10, to capture fourth place in the Southwestern Conference race. Jap Thrashcr, sandy-haired back, led the way for the Rice Owls, scoring two touchdoWns in brilliant dashes. In the first period he ran 81 yards to score, while in the flnal quarter he slipped 80 yards through a broken field.
