FORDHAM DEFEATS BUCKNELL, Z TO D Takes Final Game of Season With Display of Flashing Running Attack. By the Associated Press. HOLo GROUNDS, New York, Mo- - vember 22.-Fordham’s sturdy foot ball team wound UP its season today with a 1910 vic tory over Bucknell, one OF the best srnall-college elevens in the East. Long known as primarily defensive team most dangerous through the air, Fordham, In its final game, uncovered a brilliant running attack which brought touchdowns on marches Of 81 and 81 yards in the first and fourth periods, respectively. Buckner, with O flock of fast backs performing behind q strong line, looked dangerous on numerous occasions, out was never able to get inside the Ford ham 30-yard mark, the attack stalllng because of fumbleS or the stubborn defensive play Of the Maroon-clad Tor wards. One Defeat In Two Years. The victory rounded out a record of only one defeat In two seasons for Coach Frank Cayanaugh’s League OF Nations” eleven. Coming back strongly after its set back at the hands OF St. Mary’s College OF California last week, Fordham scored its first touchdown less than flve min utes after the game began in q march down the field from its own 33.yard line. Big Jim Murphy, 102-pourd half back, did this scoring. Murphy was poison to the Bucknell players all afternoon, and it was he who led the fourth-period charge that ended in the second touchdown. The ball was taken over the line by Charley Pieculewic2. Wisniewski missed his tries for both extra points after placement.
