EASY FOR WISCONSIN. TO TROUNCE CHICAGO Oman, Schneider Lead Badgers to $40 Victory Over Weak Maroon Eleven. MADISON, Wis, October IA versatile backfield, built around two laundering fullbacks, found support from the line as Wisconsin pounded out a S4-to-0 victory over Chicago here today. Nearly $4,000 spectators were thrilled by Tury Oman and big John Schneider, 200-pound sophomore, as they alter mated at fullback, to carry the burden Of the Maroon rout. On q day too warm for foot ball, Wis consin stamped itself as a Western Conference mystery team. It produced tremendous offense but still Is untried on defense. The game was I’M even after the first few minutes and Coach Glenn Thistlethwaite failed to use his strongest combination. Wisconsin lost at least three potential touchdowns. The famed TANKER plays Of Coach A. A. Stagg were stopped and swamped at every turn. The Maroons completed only OF their II passes for total gain of “a yards. With lightweight combination on the field for Wisconsin at the opening Chicago made its best bid. Lack of punch which kept Wisconsin from scoring in the first period added to the zest for action as the Badgers rolled over two touchdowns before the half ended Oman practically broke up the game in the third period when he cut through tackle, reversed his field twice, and behind good blocking rambled SO yards to score.
