  TENNESSEE CRUSHES GAMECOCKS, 54 TO 0 BY the Associated Press. KNOXVILLE, Tenn, December T. Tennessee’s touchdown twins, Gene Nc Ever and Buddy Hackman, personally conducted the Volunteers to 54-to-0 defeat of the University of South Carolima in a game which gave McEVer an opportunity to take his place today at the head Of the class Of foot ball scorers for the Nation, with seasons total of 13o points. The Bristol boy scored five touch downs against the courageous but almost helpless Gamecocks and added points after touchdowns for total of SO points for his days work. Nc Ever had 81 when he went out to play the last game on the 1929 schedule and his seasons count of 100 just enabled him to nose out the great running Clark Hinkle of Bucknell, who quit work for the year with score Of 123. Tennessee piled up Is first downs to 2 for South Carolina. McEverS buddy, Hackman, was just behind his running mate, for he scored three touchdowns to complete the total Of eight piled up against the lads from the Palmetto State.
