INDIANA WINS, 1877, OVER NORTHWESTERN EVANSTON. ILL.,, November 12 up. A fighting, alert Indiana team swept the Northwestern Wildcats to decisive 1S-to-7 defeat before $4,000 persons In homecoming foot ball game at Dyche Stadium this afternoon. The defeat was the fourth in a row for Northwestern, several OF whose stars today were forced to watch the game from the side lines because Of injuries. Two factors stood out In today’s victorious invasion of the Hoosiersfirst, the Indiana line. outweighed, Outbucked and Outsmarted the Purpies wall, ripping large holes for the charging Indiana backs: second. the Hoosier hacks thought nothing of a tackle, squirming away time and again for long runs when 1t seemed as IL they were smothered by the Wildcat avalanche. Northwestern made il first downs against Indiana’s Z. The Hoosiers, however, made 385 yards from scrim mage, compared with Northwest ern’s 223.
