Yale Furnishes Big Upset of Day, Licking Army Mule by 28–7 New Haven. Conn, Oct 31.-(By AP)-Yaie overwhelmed the undefeated Army eleven before 10000 spectators in the Yale Bowl today, % to Z. An inadequate air defense and erratic handling of the ball by the Army backs contributed largely to the downfall Of the future lieutenants. Four times Yale elects engraved their imprint on the territory behind the Army goal posts, while only once was the Mule able to generate enough kick to plant the ball behind the Yale goal. The Ellis scored twice as the indirect result of successful air thrusts, once on a blocked kick and the last time as a result of an Army funsble. A brilliant SO-yard run by Harry Wilson in the third had intercepted a forward pass on his own 20 yard line gave the Army its lone touchdown. lale’s knitting air offensive broke the hearts of the cadet defense. OF six passes attempted only three were completed but the damage wrought by two of these cannot be measured in terms of yards. The statistics of the game show that the Yale team made seven first downs to but five for the army. while Yale was penalized seven times for a total of So yards, while the Army lost but five yards by penalties. Yale attempted six passes, three of them completed, one for SO yards and an other for 16 yards, while the third failed to gain. The Army tossed eight passes and completed two, one for &c yards and the other for 50 yards. The lineup:
