  TRINITY OPENS ITS T.|.A.A. SCHEDULE Sensational Team That Beat Baylor Plays Bob cats Next. WAXAHACHIE, Tex, Oct. 10 With the game against the Baylor Bears over, the brilliant Trinity Uni Vcrsity Tigers, conquerors of Rice and Baylor have completed their pre-asso. citation games and will open their T. I. A. A. campaign here Friday when they play the Southwest Texas State Teachers College Bobcats Of San Marcos. The San Marcos game will be one Of the two remaining home contests on the Tigers schedule. Simmons Uni. versity will be the only other team to appear here this season. Trinity and the Southwest Texas Teachers have never met before on the gridiron, although the schools have met several times in baseball. Both schools have produced great baseball teams and the series between the Tigers and Bobcats decided the T. /. \. A. baseball championship in 1924, Trinity winning both games by small scores. Southwest Texas always produces a strong football team ard this year it has a team composed largely OF veterans who led the Bobcats to a high position in the L. l. A. A. last year. Trinity fans are backing Coach HoL ton and the Tigers Loyalty and 8 large crowd is assured for the game.
