  CHICAGO DEFEATS A REVAMPED OHIO STATE FOOTBALL TEAM, 14–⁠9 Columbus, O., Nov. II (by the Associated Press) Chicago defeated a revamped Ohio state eleven here today, IA to 0, but only after a hard fight and after switching from their much vaunted line pounding game to open football. The Buckeyes led the Maroons to 0 during the entire first half, but fell before the open attack of the Chicago team in the third quarter, when forward passes and trick plays netted Coach Stages men two touch downs within a few minutes. After the Maroons had scored twice, Coach Wilce sent in bevy of fresh players and a rally based mostly on a series of forward passes, netted his team one touch down. But Chicago braced and the Buckeyes were unable to push the ball over again.

After the Maroons had scored twice Coach Wilce sent in a bevy Of fresh players and a rally netted his team one touchdown, but Chicago braced and the Buckeyes were unable to count again.
